Overview Phan Thiet

Phan Thiet is a southern city located about 200 km from Ho Chi Minh City and 1148 km from Hanoi. Being the capital of Binh Thuan Province, it has important administrative and economic status.

Washed by the waters of the South China Sea, the resort is considered a calm and quiet place, surrounded by tropical greenery. A wide beach with white sand, a gentle slope into the water, picturesque views attract families with children and romantic couples. The presence of waves due to the constant winds turned Phan Thiet into the object of desire for surfers.

WHEN IS IT BETTER TO RIDE?
Due to its geographical location, the holiday season in Phan Thiet lasts all year round. Monsoon heavy rains go around this area.

The best time for rest is considered to be the period from mid-October to March, when the air temperature reaches + 28-30 ° C, and the water warms up to + 26-27 ° C.

HOW TO GET THERE?
You can get to Phan Thiet by taxi (80-100 USD), the journey will take 5-6 hours. There are regular bus services from Ho Chi Minh City and other Vietnamese cities, delivering passengers to resort towns and villages.

Also developed rail service. From Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet, trains leave 2 times a day – at 6.55 and 16.45. A ticket costs about 30 USD.

ATTRACTIONS

The ruins of the towers of Poshanu (Fuhai). These are the remains of a once large religious complex built by the ancient people of Cham. The age of construction dates back to the 8th century. Every year in the 1st lunar month, the Roh Mbang and Ridge Nougat festivals are held here.
Red canyon. The walls of this natural formation, covered with red clay, were formed as a result of leaching of the rock. The landscape leaves a strong impression.
Ke Ga Lighthouse is about 4 km from the city. It was built in 1897 on a 25-meter steep cliff. The granite structure rises 64 m and illuminates the way for sailors for 22 nautical miles.
Pagoda Lin Sean Cheong Tho is located 30 km from Phan Thiet, on Mount Taku. The construction consists of 3 massive gates and a spacious room, the main treasures of which are statues of Buddha Amitabha and Buddha Sakyamuni. Ascent to the shrine is carried out on a lift, and descent – on stone stairs, equipped with observation platforms, which offer stunning views.
The lost sea is a lake surrounded by forest, on the border of Binh Thuan and Dongnai provinces. Its area is more than 1000 hectares. Such cyclopean dimensions gave the lost reservoir such a name.
A short drive from Phan Thiet is the Pink Dunes. They got their name due to the unusual color of the sand. From the tops of the dunes you can enjoy the beauty of the bay. And 10 km from the Pink Dunes are no less beautiful White Dunes. Not far from them lies Lake Trang, mesmerizing by countless blooming lotuses.
The village of Mui Ne is famous for its stunning landscapes, crystal clear water and snow-white beach. Local restaurants offer a variety of fresh seafood dishes.
In Vinhao thermal springs, the water temperature reaches + 80 ° C. Here is the country’s largest thermal complex, where you can take a course of wellness baths and massage.
Phan Thiet Market
It is the largest market in all of Binh Thuan province. You can buy almost everything there: food, fruits, vegetables, souvenirs, clothes, home decoration and, of course, the famous Vietnamese sand paintings. Prices are lower than in shops and supermarkets of the city, but you will have to bargain for the goods.

AQUAPARK

There is no water park in Phan Thiet yet, so fans of slides and artificial waves will have to go to Nachang, where Vinperl, the largest water amusement park in the country, operates.

The water park operates at the 5-star Vinpearl Resort and Spa. Together they occupy an entire island called Hong Tae. In addition to water rides for children and adults, pools and beaches, there are huge aquariums with exotic fish, sharks and turtles. For convenience, guests will find restaurants, cafes and shops.

A cable car leads to the island. From Monday to Thursday she works from 08.00 to 21.00, and from Friday to Sunday from 08.00 to 22.00. It is better to visit the water park on a weekday so that there are fewer Vietnamese.

Important! In bad weather, Vinperl does not work. If it rains and the wind blows, you will have to reconsider your plans.

Entrance ticket price – 500 thousand dong. The price includes visits to all areas of the water park, without exception, including travel by cable car. Food and drinks are paid separately.
