How to get from Rome to Naples

Between cities there is regular air traffic. Planes fly 3 times a day from the airport of Fiumicino (Rome) to Capodichino (Naples). All flights are operated by 2 companies Alitalia and Westbahn. How to get to the airport in Rome?

Ticket price – 15 €. Trains follow non-stop with a break of 30 minutes, during peak hours the interval is reduced to 15 minutes.

How to get to the city from Naples airport?
From the airport you can leave by Alibus express buses that go to Municipal Square or Garibaldi Square. Transport is available from 06:30 to 23:40. Tickets are sold upon boarding. Price – 4 €.

HOW TO GET YOURSELF FROM ROME TO NAPLES BY TRAIN?

The train is the most economical and comfortable way to get to Naples. Rome Station is easily accessible by metro. To do this, follow the blue line to the station Tiburtina.

Trains run from Termini Station in Rome to Naples Central Station and back daily from 04:00 – 05:00 to 21:00 – 22:00. Available offers from the following companies.

Treno Regionale – cheap but long. The regional train takes 2 hours 37 minutes. Ticket price – from 11 to 12 €.
Intercity (IC) makes many stops. Therefore, the journey will take 2 hours. Ticket price – almost 27 €.
FRECCIAROSSA – comfortable express train. Travel time – 1 h. 10 min. Ticket price is approximately 30 €.
Italo Treno is the most profitable option. The trip takes only 1 h. 8 min. Ticket price is about 15 €.
On the train, they may be asked to present not only the purchased ticket, but also an identity document, for example, a passport or driver’s license.

Cheap tickets for good trains end very quickly, so you should be puzzled by their purchase at least 7 days before the planned trip.

If you purchased a ticket at the ticket machine or at the ticket office, you need to validate it in a special yellow car located at the beginning of the platform. HOW DO I GET ITSELF FROM ROME TO NAPLES BY BUS?

Travel by bus takes 3 hours. Only private companies travel several times a week. Several flights are available during the day.

From Rome, the bus leaves from Tiburtina Station on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Transport arrives in Naples at the Corso Meridionale, near the Central Station.

From Naples, the bus travels the exact same route on Wednesdays and Fridays. Flights are scheduled for morning and evening.

HOW TO INDEPENDENTLY GET FROM ROME TO NAPLES BY CAR?

You can drive to your destination by rental car. The road will take about 3 hours at a speed of about 100 km / h. The maximum permissible speed is 130 km / h.

The trip will affect the budget. Firstly, gasoline in Italy is quite expensive. A gas station for a trip from Rome to Naples will cost at least 35 €. Secondly, you have to go on the A1 Milano-Napoli toll motorway, with a fee of around 17 €. The road is flat, comfortable, there are signs everywhere, so it is simply impossible to go astray.

Features of traveling by car in Italy
