Secret Bali beaches

Most tourists come to Bali for the beautiful beaches that nature has created for millennia. One likes soft sand in the south, others prefer black volcanic sand in the west, while others go for tranquil calm to the east, where fishing villages thrive on the coastline. Kuta, Sanur and Nusa Dua are favorite resorts crowded with vacationers. There are still hidden places where crowds of people have not yet reached.

PERASI, KARANGASEM

Perasi is also known by the names “White Beach” or “Secret Beach”. It stretches between 2 hills separating the villages of Bugbug and Perasi. The latter gave the name to the sugar-colored coastline, equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds. Restaurants serving local cuisine complete the idyllic picture.

How to get there: From Candidasa, follow the Jalan Raya Candidasa-Bugbug main road towards Perasi. Take the dirt road at the temple near the village of Pura Bale Agung, it will lead directly to the beach.

BALANGAN, PECATU, JIMBARAN

The beach is located in the southernmost point of Bali, on the Bukit Peninsula. It is ideal for surfers due to the constant waves formed by the flow and the special topography of the bottom. But ordinary bathers will not be comfortable here. Water procedures can easily be replaced by walking and take some breathtaking pictures – erosion has formed a real cosmic landscape.

Getting there: From Kuta, follow the Bypass Ngurah Rai road towards the airport. At the intersection at Burger King, turn right, go straight to the Nirmala Ungasan store, then turn right again, continue along the country road until you see the beach.

GREEN BOWLE, UNGASAN

This is one of the best places for surfing, where the waves are always there. During high tide, the coastline is almost completely hidden. Low tide forms picturesque views – bizarre black and red mountains covered with emerald vegetation grow out of golden sand. Many giants are carved by caves, in some bats live.

How to get there: Take the Jalan Bali Cliff road to an abandoned hotel and go down the stone steps.

AMED, KARANGASEM

This beach with coarse volcanic sand belongs to several fishing villages at once: Amed, Dzhemeluk, Bunutan, Lipakh, Selang, Banyunig and Aas. Crystal clear waters allow you to see the bottom in the smallest detail. There is a relatively small coral reef near which you can go snorkeling. In addition to the great sea, people come here to admire the natural beauties – slopes buried in an exotic jungle, an extinct volcano and local color.

Getting there: Drive east past Klungkung and Karangasem. Road signs will not let you get lost.

KARMA BEACH, UNGASAN

Formerly known as Nammos Beach, Karma Beach is a private beach that is part of the Beach Club Karma Kandara hotel complex. You can only get to it by funicular. The snow-white strip of sand is in perfect condition, guests enjoy the highest service. The absence of numerous tourists who can spoil the lazy bliss guarantees an expensive deposit at the entrance.

Getting there: Drive along the road towards Ungasan. Numerous road signs indicating the direction to the Beach Club Karma Kandara Hotel will not let you go astray.

FIN’S BEACH, UNGASAN

This is another private beach owned by Finn’s Beach Club. The width of the coastline, lined with bamboo huts, umbrellas and sunbeds, is 165 m. A deposit at the entrance is 250,000 rupees. In addition to the delicious food prepared in the open kitchen and drinks, guests enjoy the clear sea and breathtaking views.

How to get there: Take the Jalan Pantai Selatan Gau road towards Ungasan. A sign with the name of the club is hard to miss.

BALIAN, TABANAN

Balian are black volcanic sands, waves appearing from nowhere and unearthly sunsets, coloring the sky and waves in bright colors. The picture is complemented by rice fields and palm trees. This beach is chosen by surfers. It will be inconvenient for ordinary bathers here, sunbeds and umbrellas are absent.

Getting there: Drive towards the Selemadeg district of Tabanan County. Follow the signs.

DREMLAND BEACH, PECATU, JIMBARAN

This beach on the Bukit Peninsula is gaining popularity among tourists, but it still has not lost its natural charm. There are few tourists lazily relaxing in the sand. The water area was occupied by surfers competing with each other in the skill of conquering waves. During low tide, when the water element calms down, you can swim. Several restaurants serving local cuisine can help quench your hunger at the end of a busy day.

How to get there: Drive to Pekatu Graha, then go down the winding path. As soon as you pass the golf club, you will see the beach.
